THE DIY SOLUTION
Why repair your own iPhone?
There are two main reasons to repair your own iPhone: affordability and accessibility.
Affordability
Replacing damaged parts on your iPhone has always been expensive. This is because of the high cost of “skilled” labour required to complete these repairs. The truth is that these repairs are easy to do with the right instruction. Cut out the overpriced rate of labour, and be your own Repair Hero.
Accessibility
Often it is inconvenient and time consuming to find a repair solution for your iPhone; with Apple stores widespread, and third party repairers un-vetted in their parts and training. The D-I-Y alternative allows you to complete the repair on your own time, usually with a faster completion time than booking and leaving your device with Apple.

What are the positive environmental impacts of repairing your phone?
If you’re tossing up whether repair vs. buying new is for you, sustainability should be a swaying factor. Did you know that electronic waste comprises 70% of our overall toxic waste? Apart from the obvious financial advantages of repairing your existing phone instead of buying new, the environmental benefits make it a no brainer if you are happy with the functionality of your current device.

Where can I complete my DIY repair?
Our repair solution is designed for you to complete anywhere; all you need is a flat surface and well-lit area.
How do I know if the EasyFix repair solution I have selected will fix my phone?
The product page for each Repair Kit outlines the issues that it is designed to help fix. For example, the screen repair kit’s product page describes that it is applicable for repairing issues such as damaged glass, a broken display and/or touch problems.
THE TECHNICAL STUFF
What model iPhone do I have?
You can find your iPhone model number by looking at the small text on the back of the iPhone. There will be a phrase showing "Model AXXXX". Match that to the numbers described on our product page to find out which iPhone model you own.
What colour is my screen?
The border around your display will either be white or black in colour. The best indicator is the colour of your home button. If the button is white, you have a white screen, and vice versa.
What does it mean that the screen comes 'pre-assembled'?
TechXS' iPhone screens come pre-installed by industry Technicians with all components including the Front Camera, Proximity Sensor and Ambient Light Sensor to name but a few. This does away with the need to transfer these components over from your old device, greatly simplifying the repair process.
Will I void my manufacturers warranty by doing the repair myself?
In Australia, if a product is faulty, customers are legally entitled to a repair or replacement under Australian Consumer Law, and sometimes even a refund. This warranty supplied with a product is not void if a third party, including you personally, repairs the device. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) made this stance clear in the case of Apple’s misleading representations to its customers. Read more on the topic here.
SHIPPING AND SUPPORT

Our repair solutions are designed to minimise the risk that you will get stuck while completing the repair. With this in mind, if you find yourself requiring assistance at any time, our support team is only a click away. Contact us through the support page, or via email directly at support@techxs.com.au.
How long will the product take to reach me?
Our entire EasyFix range comes with free standard shipping Australia wide. Standard shipping options will generally take 3-6 business days to arrive. If you need your product sooner, then express shipping options are also available at checkout.
How do I make a warranty claim if my product is defective?
TechXS has superior parts compared to sources such as eBay and Amazon. However, even the best suppliers will have some level of defective rates. The TechXS quality control process means we have low single digit defect rates (1-2%) versus probably 20-30% for bottom of the barrel sources.
If you do experience a defect in one of our parts, you are applicable to make a warranty claim under our industry leading warranty, whereby you will be issued a replacement part at no additional cost.
